Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU)

Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University was founded in Tripura under the direction of the Bahujana Hitaya Education Trust, and it is evidence of the lasting influence of Buddhism and humankind. Located at the centre of the Sabroom Sub-Division in the South Tripura District, the University represents a vision of world peace, compassion, and enlightenment.

The aim goes beyond simple education. It was established on the ideas of the Bahujana Hitaya Education Trust, a public charitable institution registered in Tripura on June 18, 2001. Our dedication lies in elevating not just the Buddhist community but also the oppressed and disenfranchised at all societal levels.

Four guiding principles are embodied by Dhamma Dipa International Buddhist University (DDIBU) "Dhamma Dipa," which stands for a light that illuminates the path to enlightenment; "International," which conveys our global outreach and engagement; "Buddhist," which denotes our dedication to universal values and perspectives; and "University," which symbolises the highest level of knowledge and education.
